Vizi-Vapr Saturated Vapor Refrigerant Charging Accessory

Vizi-Vapr Refrigerant Charging Accessory

Ever want to charge a system quicker and more efficiently? Use Thermal Engineering’s Vizi-Vapr!

Charging a refrigeration system with refrigerant in the vapor state can take a long time. To resolve this issue, Thermal Engineering Company introduced a product that allows the service technician or HVAC contractor to remove refrigerant from a cylinder in liquid form and inject it into the system as a saturated vapor. This tool, or accessory, is called the Vizi-Vapr.

Since the refrigerant in its liquid state is removed from the cylinder by its own pressure, no heat is removed from it and the cylinder does not get cold. Refrigerant blends must be removed from their containers as liquid. Using the Vizi-Vapr, the blend can be charged into the system as a saturated vapor without any composition change. Vizi-Vapr is adjustable from 1/8hp up to 50hp. The operation is completely visible so there is little danger of liquid entering the system.

GemConnect Compressor Terminal Repair Kit

GemTech GemConnect Compressor Terminal Repair KitRecently I’ve been able to test out the effectiveness of a terminal repair kit for compressors that requires no tools to install. The tool is called the GemConnect and it basically goes right over damaged terminals and provides an electrical connection so that the compressor can be restored to normal function. A lot of times compressors are replaced when simply the terminals are damaged. This tool is effectively a compressor-saver in this regard. It can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars that would typically be spent on a new compressor.

Installation is done in 4 easy steps:

  1. Disconnect power from compressor
  2. Clean any and all corrosion away from compressor terminals
  3. Place GemConnect over damaged terminals
  4. Route wires away from terminals to prevent any short conditions
